Local COVID-19 Immunization Sites
As of March 15, 2021 over 250 Alberta pharmacies have provided COVID-19 immunizations with either Moderna or Pfizer vaccines. Currently, the following groups are eligible:
- Albertans 65 years of age and older (born in 1956 or earlier)
- First Nations, Metis and Inuit people 50 years of age and older (born in 1971 or earlier)
- Staff and senior residents of licensed supportive living facilities not previously eligible
- Those born between 1957 and 2005 with high-risk health conditions. See the full list of conditions here
-Starting April 12, part of Group 2C can book their appointments. Click here for a list of who is eligible
-Starting April 20 Those born in 1981 or before can book the AstraZeneca vaccine
Appointments must be booked in advance. No walk-ins will be permitted.

COVID-19 Testing in the Bow Valley
Alberta Health Services Testing Sites
Bow Valley residents with access to personal transportation should visit ahs.ca to complete an online COVID-19 screening questionnaire. If eligible for testing, then the patient will be advanced to an online schedule to book an appointment. Two locations are most accessible to Bow Valley residents:
Banff COVID Testing Centre (Mon-Fri from 9.30 AM - 4.30 PM)
Cochrane COVID Testing Centre (Mon-Fri from 9:30 AM - 4.30 PM)
If you have a family physician, it is critical that you enter their name at the time of scheduling your appointment. This will facilitate communication of test results to your family doctor.
Patients without current Alberta Healthcare coverage can call 811 for assistance.

Receiving your COVID test results:
Test results can now be sent via text and to the patient's MyHealth record online. At the time of testing, patients should select their preferred notification option. For more information or to register for MyHealth, click here.
Patients who test positive for COVID-19 are encouraged to reach out to their family physician. Patients should note that calls from physicians/clinics may come in an unknown number or 'no caller ID'. Patients are encouraged to answer these calls.
